Road Trip Report – Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana

bodievicksburg

This past spring Bodie, my husband and I went on a road trip through the southern states. Our original intent was to drive across to the Mississippi and tour around the Delta region on our way up to Memphis focusing on blues and old country music sights. However, once we got to Vicksburg, MS we got stuck in a huge thunderstorm that had no end in sight. It was causing heavy flooding in the area we wanted to focus on – not the type of weather to be walking around old graves and small towns.

So instead we headed south – where the sun was. And that happened to be New Orleans!

Read about our three-part southern state tour here:

Part One – Montgomery, Alabama – F. Scott Fitzgerald House, Hank Williams Statue, and more!

Part Two – Vicksburg, Mississippi – Vicksburg Military Park (dog-friendly!), Robert Johnson Memorial, and more!

Part Three – New Orleans, Louisiana – Jazz Walk of Fame, Aquarium, Harrah’s and more!

And don’t forget you can subscribe to my posts or use an RSS feed!

Thank you!
