Shamu - Sea World - Orlando

Are you heading to the Orlando theme parks this summer and wondering if your pet is allowed too?

With the exception of service animals, pets are not allowed inside any of the theme parks in Orlando including the four Disney parks, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Sea World. However, each park has kennels where you can leave your pet while you play in the park. These kennels are located near the entrances so at least you can take a break from the park and take your pet for a walk.

Disney

Disney has five “Pet Care Kennels” on property – each run by Best Friends Pet Care, Inc. and are members of the American Boarding Kennel Association. The kennels are all air-conditioned which is vital during the hot Florida heat.
The five kennels are located adjacent to the entrances of Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. The closest kennel to the Magic Kingdom is located at the Ticket and Transportation Center. There is one additional kennel at the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.
Reservations aren’t required, but are recommended during high season. The fee includes two walks and two feeds a day at all locations except Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.

Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground – This is the only accommodations owned by Disney that pets are allowed. Pets are not allowed in non-air-conditioned cars or tents. Guests staying in pet-designated campsite loops can let their canine pals roam and romp off leash in Waggin’ Trails Dog Park. Pet walk areas are also located throughout the campground.

Universal Orlando

Universal Orlando also has a kennel which is located in the parking structure. The pet fee is $10 per pet and no overnight boarding is allowed. Pet owners must return periodically to walk and feed their animals.

All three hotels on Universal’s property – Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, and Loews Royal Pacific Resort allow pets in specified rooms. A cleaning fee of $25 per stay will be charged per pet, and they allow up to two pets per room.

Sea World

Sea World also has a kennel located outside the main entrance. The cost is $8 per pet and pet owners must walk their pet during the day.

The Renaissance at Sea World does not allow pets, but there are hotels on International Drive that do.
