Aloha Hawaii!

Hawaii now allows dogs into Hawaii without having a long quarantine upon arrival! It’s not that simple, but you can now apply for 5-Days-Or-Less Quarantine! It consists of proof of rabies vaccinations, blood tests, microchips and more – and has to be done 120 days prior to departure. It’s not cheap either – $224 for the application – but at least if you are planning a trip to Hawaii, and want to take your pet, it is now possible without having to quarantine for 3 months or more.

Consult Hawaii.gov for more information. Consult the checklist for each of the requirements. This was valid as of July 2009.
